- Amazon is chosen for this presentation because it is one of the largest and most successful companies in the world, and its practices and changes are widely studied and discussed in the business world.
- One change that is needed within Amazon is the improvement of its workplace culture. Reports of poor treatment of employees and a high-pressure work environment have led to negative press and calls for change within the company. This issue has impacted the organization by damaging its reputation and potentially affecting employee morale and retention.
Organizational Subsystems in Need of Change Within the Organization:
- Three subsystems that relate to the needed change in workplace culture are: Human Resources, Operations, and Public Relations.
- The main subsystem that failed and led to the problem is Human Resources. This is because HR is responsible for creating and enforcing policies and procedures that foster a positive work environment and ensure the fair treatment of employees.
