SOLUTION
Nurses, like all healthcare professionals, may encounter ethical situations in the course of their work. These can include issues related to patient autonomy and informed consent, confidentiality and privacy, end-of-life care, and access to care, among others. Nurses have a responsibility to advocate for their patients’ rights and well-being, and to make decisions that are in the best interest of their patients while also following the standards of their profession and the law. They may also seek guidance from colleagues, supervisors, and professional organizations when faced with ethical dilemmas.
Social justice refers to the fair and equitable distribution of resources, opportunities, and privileges within a society. It involves ensuring that all individuals have equal access to the rights and opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other factors. Social justice movements and policies aim to address issues such as discrimination, poverty, and unequal access to education and healthcare.
