One-sided markets, where there is only one seller and many buyers, can lead to higher prices for consumers as the seller has a lot of power. In contrast, two-sided markets, where there are multiple sellers and buyers, can lead to more competition and lower prices for consumers.

However, one-sided markets can also be beneficial for consumers as it could lead to better innovation and more efficient service. It depends on the specific market and the competition within it.
