Malicious individuals have discovered several methods to attack and defeat cryptosystems. It’s important that understand the threats posed by cryptographic attacks to minimize the risks to your network systems.
Identify one cryptographic attack and how you can protect against it.

SOLUTION
One type of cryptographic attack is a “man-in-the-middle” (MITM) attack. In this type of attack, an attacker intercepts and alters communication between two parties in order to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.
To protect against MITM attacks, one can use secure protocols such as HTTPS (HTTP Secure) which encrypts the communication between the client and server, and also use authentication methods such as SSL certificates. Additionally, one can use VPN (Virtual Private Network) to encrypt all Internet traffic and protect against the attacker intercepting the communication.
