SOLUTION
The U.S. judicial system is a federal system, meaning that there are both federal and state courts. The federal courts, which are established under the United States Constitution, include the Supreme Court and lower federal courts. The state courts are established by the individual state governments. The judicial branch of the U.S. government is responsible for interpreting the laws and the Constitution, and for resolving disputes that arise under federal or state law. The U.S. judicial system operates independently from the legislative and executive branches of government and is responsible for interpreting the laws and the Constitution.
