SOLUTION
As a graduate of DePaul University’s nursing program, I plan to utilize my education and training to address the healthcare disparities faced by impoverished communities. I will use my knowledge of evidence-based practices, patient-centered care, and health promotion to provide accessible and high-quality care to those in need. I will work to understand the unique challenges faced by these populations and advocate for resources and support to address these disparities.
I also plan to educate my colleagues and peers on the importance of addressing health disparities and encourage them to join me in this mission. Additionally, I will participate in community outreach programs and volunteer with organizations that serve underserved populations to further my impact. By using my nursing skills and compassion to empower and support those in need, I hope to answer St. Vincent de Paul’s question of “What must be done” and make a positive impact in the lives of those I serve.
