Spider-Man reflects the culture of the 1960s in several ways. At the time, the Cold War was at its height, and there was a sense of uncertainty and fear in the air. This is reflected in Spider-Man’s origin story, as he gains his powers from a radioactive spider and uses them to fight against criminals and evil. The character also represents the youth culture of the 1960s, as Peter Parker, the alter ego of Spider-Man, is a high school student.
