I have astronomy homework due I tried just can’t get it . It’s on chapter 4 of making sense of the universe :understanding Motion, Energy, and Gravity
SOLUTION
Motion refers to the change in position of an object with respect to time. It can be described in terms of its speed, velocity, and acceleration. Speed refers to the distance an object travels per unit time, while velocity is the speed of an object in a particular direction. Acceleration refers to the rate of change of an object’s velocity over time.
Energy is the ability of an object to do work, which is the transfer of energy from one object to another. There are different forms of energy, such as kinetic energy (energy of motion), potential energy (energy stored in an object due to its position or shape), and thermal energy (energy related to the temperature of an object). The law of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be transformed from one form to another.
Gravity is a force of attraction between two objects with mass. The strength of gravity depends on the mass of the objects and the distance between them. The more massive an object is, the stronger the force of gravity it exerts on other objects. Similarly, the closer two objects are, the stronger the force of gravity between them. Gravity is responsible for the motion of objects in the solar system, such as the planets orbiting the sun.
