One new thing I learned about human resource development from the SHRM website is the concept of microlearning. Microlearning is a training method that involves delivering bite-sized pieces of information to employees in short, easy-to-digest formats. This can include videos, quizzes, and other interactive tools that can be accessed on-demand, allowing employees to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule.
As a manager, I could use this new learning to benefit myself, my employees, and my company by incorporating microlearning into our training programs. By providing employees with easily accessible, bite-sized pieces of information, we can help them build their skills and knowledge in a way that is more engaging and effective. This can also help to address the challenge of providing training to a workforce that is increasingly remote or dispersed, allowing employees to access training materials from anywhere.
