SOLUTION

Acute pain is a type of pain that occurs suddenly and usually has a specific cause, such as an injury, surgery, or infection. It is a protective mechanism that alerts the body to tissue damage or potential injury. Acute pain typically resolves once the underlying cause has been treated or healed. Chronic pain, on the other hand, is pain that persists beyond the normal healing time of an injury, usually lasting longer than three months. It may not have an identifiable cause or be related to a previous injury or illness. Chronic pain is often considered a disease in and of itself, and can be associated with physical, emotional, and social consequences.
