This data exercise consists of two parts. Part 1 involves the selection of 20 countries from the World Development Indicators database, and the retrieval of GDP and population data for the most recent year. The per capita GDP for each country is also calculated, and a table is presented to show the results. In Part 2, the rank and overall score in economic freedom for the same 20 countries are obtained from the Heritage Foundation’s website, and the scores in business, trade, financial freedom, and property rights are also retrieved. A comparison is made between the rankings in economic freedom and other indicators, and a report is written to analyze the significance of the data.
