1.Find a training evaluation form online or use one provided by your employer, if applicable. Some examples include: https://www.nigc.gov/images/uploads/5a%20-%20Active%20Shooter %20Evaluation.pdf https://cals.arizona.edu/apmc/StopSchoolPests/files/9_b_Training-Evaluation- Survey.pdf https://dol.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2021/09/ojt-evaluation-forms-for- business-and-new-hire-template.pdf
2. Evaluate the training you completed using the form you found. Print the form and complete it by hand or complete it electronically. Include a screenshot or a scan of the completed form with your Dropbox submission.
3. Think about the strengths and the weaknesses of the evaluation form you used for your course.
4. Start writing. In a MS Word file, type your name in the header as is shown in this document. At the top of the page, type the name of the course you completed. Skip a line and add a heading, Part 1. Under Part 1, summarize the course you completed in 3-5 well-developed sentences. Describe how the course relates to the content we are studying and the course’s usefulness to HRM/training professionals.
5. Skip a line after that paragraph and type Part 3. This section is where you describe in more detail what you learned and how it relates to training and development. Use one paragraph (5+ sentences) to explain the first insight/takeaway/learning. Start this paragraph with something like, The first thing… or One thing I learned… Write a second paragraph (5+ sentences) about a second insight/takeaway/learning. These paragraphs should reveal how you critically reflected on what was presented to learn something new and/or to plan how to use the information. Consider how the things you learned relate to HRM and to organizations. What is applicable to your life, career, etc.? How will you be able to use this lesson/takeaway in your career?
6. After the second insight, skip a line and type Part 3. In this section, include a link for the training evaluation form you used. Next, describe the strengths (2+) and weaknesses (2+) of this form for the course you chose. This portion should contain 5+ well-developed sentences.
7. The word count should be 250-500 words. Include your name and the word count in the header (this document is an example).
