2. Develop a presentation analyzing an institution’s or program’s response to a crisis.

In the last five years, there have been several crises that have impacted educational institutions and programs. One such crisis occurred in 2019 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where a college admissions scandal was uncovered. In this presentation, we will examine UCLA’s response to the crisis and analyze how the institution communicated with its stakeholders. In March 2019, it was revealed that UCLA was one of several universities involved in a nationwide college admissions scandal. The scandal involved parents bribing college officials to ensure their children’s admission to prestigious universities. At UCLA, the scandal involved the men’s soccer coach accepting bribes to admit students as recruits to the soccer team, even if they did not play the sport.
