In this scenario, we will compare and contrast the growth and developmental patterns of two toddlers of different ages using Gordon’s functional health patterns. Toddler A is 1-year-old, while Toddler B is 2-years-old. Let’s apply Gordon’s functional health patterns to assess their growth and development. Health perception-health management pattern: This pattern evaluates the toddler’s perception of their health and how their parents/caregivers manage their health. Toddler A’s parents may be more attentive to their child’s health because they are still adjusting to the role of being a parent. Toddler B’s parents may have a more relaxed approach to their child’s health as they may have more experience.
