In your own words, how are moral decisions made at the pre-conventional and conventional level in middle childhood?

SOLUTION

Moral decisions are made based on a person’s understanding of what is right and wrong. During middle childhood, children’s moral development progresses through two stages: the pre-conventional level and the conventional level. At the pre-conventional level, children make moral decisions based on their own self-interest and the consequences of their actions. They follow rules only to avoid punishment or gain rewards. For example, a child may not steal from a store because they fear being caught and punished, rather than because it is inherently wrong. Children at this level have a limited understanding of the concept of morality and may not consider the perspective of others.
