Part 2 (50 points): Research
Research is a crucial aspect of education for master’s students. It helps students to develop critical thinking skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of their field of study.
Research topic: Smart Irrigation System using IoT.
Agriculture plays a vital role in every individual’s life. But there are numerous challenges in the agriculture sector related to irrigation, climate conditions, proper fertilization, etc. This leads us to the need for developing a Smart Agriculture System using IoT that will make the lives of farmers easier than before. The IoT system will help the farmers analyze the weather conditions and the moisture level in the soil and help in their decision-making. The IoT system allows farmers to keep an eye on their farms from any location while focusing on other manual-intensive agricultural tasks for better results.
What you should deliver is a three-page report like a short paper format.
Prepare a three-page report, like a short paper, that summarizes your findings from both the course material and your research on internet documents regarding smart agriculture. A research paper can be a valuable tool for showcasing the student’s research skills and knowledge, as well as their ability to write and present research in a clear and concise manner. Ensure that your short paper answers the questions thoroughly, you are not asked to answer the questions one by one! They should be seen in the content of your short paper. In addition, please also include a list of references at the end of the report, and incorporate relevant images, tables, and statistics as needed to support your analysis and conclusions.
To prepare a three-page report summarizing your findings on smart agriculture, Smart Irrigation System using IoT, you should start by conducting research on the topic, both through the course material and additional internet documents. As you conduct your research, make note of important findings, statistics, and other information that may be relevant to your report.
Next, organize your findings into a clear and concise paper that answers the questions related to smart agriculture thoroughly. Be sure to incorporate relevant images, tables, and statistics as needed to support your analysis and conclusions.
When writing your report, it’s important to use proper academic writing conventions, such as proper citation of sources and use of headings and subheadings to clearly organize the information. Remember to also include a list of references at the end of the report, using the appropriate citation style.
Finally, to ensure that the answers to some questions like, what is smart agriculture based on IoT in general? What does it mean by designing a Smart Irrigation System using IoT? How does IoT improve water management? How Smart Irrigation System using IoT does improves crop monitoring and improves soil analysis. What are the main challenges to use IoT in agriculture? What type of sensors are suitable for smart Irrigation? What type of services are suitable for smart agriculture? What type of appropriate communication protocol suitable for smart Irrigation agriculture? What type of data communications are suitable for smart agriculture? What type of main software is suitable for smart agriculture? Etc. may be seen in your report.
You should consider incorporating the answers into the body of the report as you write, rather than simply listing the answers one by one. Incorporating the answers to the questions into the body of the report will help to provide context and make the information more accessible and understandable for the reader. Additionally, it will help to demonstrate your understanding of the topic and your ability to effectively analyze and synthesize information.
What you should deliver is a three-page research report like a short paper format on the topic of Smart Irrigation System using IoT!

SOLUTION
The IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystem refers to the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other objects that are connected to the internet, allowing them to collect and exchange data. This ecosystem consists of several components that work together to enable the seamless functioning of the IoT network. Here are the key components of the IoT ecosystem: Devices: These are physical objects that are connected to the internet, such as sensors, smart appliances, wearables, and other connected devices.Connectivity: IoT devices need to be connected to the internet to exchange data with other devices and systems. This can be achieved through various means such as Wi-Fi, cellular networks, Bluetooth, and other wireless technologies.
