SOLUTION
Plagiarism is the act of using someone else’s work without proper citation or permission and passing it off as one’s own. This is considered a serious academic offense, and it can result in severe consequences such as failing a course, suspension, or even expulsion from school. According to the assigned reading, plagiarism can take many forms, such as copying and pasting text from a source without attribution, paraphrasing someone else’s ideas without giving them credit, or using someone else’s ideas without permission. It is essential to give credit to the original author when using their ideas or words, whether you are paraphrasing or using direct quotes. Failure to do so can lead to accusations of plagiarism and academic misconduct.
