Technology-Image Expectancy Gap Theory refers to the difference between the actual performance of a product or technology and the expectations customers have regarding its performance. An example of this theory is the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 crisis, where the device was prone to catching fire or exploding. This created a gap between the expected performance of the product and the actual performance, leading to a crisis situation.
